Frutta Natural 30 sec

January 26, 2012

Last year I worked on a 30 sec commercial for Frutta Natural, a Nigerian beverage brand.
This was part of three commercials I worked on for the company besides Frutta Milky drink.

The first animation is the Final version which the client agreed upon.

As most of you know, I’ve been working on scorned a short music video for quite a while now. A lot of changes have been made since my last post for scored. Originally the video was supposed to be taking place in a forest. A few renders were uploaded a few months back of example renders I made in cinema 4D for the short. However, due to the concept of the video, I felt like the forest was a bit of a cliché and a bore. So I decided to design a new set that had more meaning with less of a clutter and more of a focus on the main character in the story, which will be played by Tatiana Toutikian.

I don’t wanna spoil the video by giving too much info about the concept. However, here are a few render shots of the new set design.

Chloe does MJ’s: Thriller routine

Just a short incomplete test render

It’s been a while since I posted anything on the blog. Been busy with quite a few things at hand.
Anyway, I’ve been working for a small test animation that should be part of the opening sequence for my Chloe animation. The environment has to still be made and some tweaks here and there on the dance moves but I just thought I’d share what I’ve done so far with the character and the dance routine.

I decided to change the colors of Chloe’s bedroom. I used Orange, green and red tones to make chole stand out of her surroundings. I thought the pink tones of the other room were too dull and boring and made chole part of the backgrounds.

Hopefully this is the final version of her room, I need to start animating soon!… I need some motivation, been slacking off for a couple of months now.

360 degrees test render of the roof with missing textures

In addition to the Chloe animation that I’ve been working on, I’ve been working on a set design for a different kind of animation which integrates real footage with a 3D background. In this case, the real footage would be my friend Nathalie Eid, shot against a green screen and then integrated in a 3D scene, the roof of a building in Paris.

The process took a bit of time cos I was trying to take my time with the textures and in making the roof and all the props look more real than the usual.

Hope I’ll be able to shoot the real footage of Nathalie before she leaves to study her masters in Barcelona in September.

Been working lately on the set design for the Chloe animation. The location of the animation will take place in the saifi village in downtown Beirut.

I’ve been working hard on maintaining the feel and the exact design forms of the buildings in Saifi. From the street lamps to the shops on the ground level of the buildings to the arches, pillars and balcony rails.

Hopefully I’ll be done with the modeling tomorrow and start texturing the whole thing and then get to designing the interiors.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted something, been busy working on a website for my friend Doreen Toutikian… Hopefully I’ll design a website for me too soon. Anyway, so here’s an update on the granny diva character with her red dress…

I’m currently working on some set designs and rigging the character for animation, hopefully there’ll be a new update on the whole thing with scenery and character poses by next week.

Hope y’all like granny!

This is a quick render of a new character I worked on in my spare time during the weekend.
She will be an old Spirit-like singer character in the new animation I’m working on.

I’ll be posting more updates on the character during the week.
